There are a LOT worse problems than herpes. I've had it for over 10 years and, yes, it bothered me for a while at first, but I realized that life goes on. In that time I've divorced, dated and remarried. Yes, I told the women that I dated about my herpes when it became necessary and nobody ran away. Don't give herpes such power. It doesn't deserve it.

I'd suggest you visit a support site and talk with some of the people who deal with it.
