Hmm. First I am happy to see a forum on Indigo children. Second, I feel compelled to share my knowledge in the most useful way-that is to describe my experience with my children. Know that I have studied this question of Indigo children before coming to the forum. I have two children, one is what I think most parents would think of as "perfect". She is in gifted class, very mature and compassionate, extrememly loving, a reader, not afraid to defend picked on children or adults and very very well behaved at all ages. The second is almost the complete opposite which would lead me to believe that it is not the way the I have raised them that has caused the second child's "problems". What is the second child's problems? He has the strongest will that I have every witnessed in my life. He began biting his sister when he was only 3 months old even though he had never been with any other children (certainly no one had ever bitten him). He is intelligient, not ADD ADHD or autistic (believe me I have had him looked at carefully by experts). But he is very very different and difficult to manage-to put it simply he wants to do what he wants not what any else tells him is correct. This has caused enormous behaviour difficulties, there have been days when I have put him into time-out over 20 times. We have tried the methods of many "child experts", Rosemond, Brazelton, and many others. We eat only organic foods, he was breast fed for two years, we eat nutrient dense foods learned from WEston Price Foundation, juicing, we have an organic farm and we eat lots of raw milk from grass fed organic cows. No one seems to be able to put a label on him, he is loving yet at times almost impossible for his teacher to manage. Yes I decide to put him into the regular school system because I personally feel that I need to allow them to learn to get along in the herd if they are capable of it, if not I will pull them back and homeschool. So what is he? I am no dummy, I have been into natural healing for many years but I tell you I have asked for help from God on this one many many times. Thankfully, he seems to be getting better but I am still very worried about him. The official indigo description fits him, I wonder if it is true.
