I can see you are defensive. I would be defensive too.

Is her behavior OK?...No. Was your behavior OK?...No as well.

But still, it's the old addage....she made me do it. Don't you see? If she hadn't......I wouldn't have had to hit her.

I'm afraid you are in major denial. It is never, ever OK to hit a woman. I don't care how much she "made you do it"
