Yes, I've always wondered about that too.

There are some NDE accounts that compares the "sounds" heard to some Jean Michel Jarre music (or FX).

I know Jean Michel Jarre's music, and I can speculate that they're are referring to the albums: Chronologie (intro sounds), and/or Oxygene (wind sounds). Among many others...
