I am writing this as you asked me to elaborate on what I've looked into ALS.

I have done nothing in the past 3 months but look into everything known about ALS, looking for hope. I have researched extensively the causal factors of sporadic ALS, and there is much evidence that points to a pathogenic substance. Many studies have linked mycoplasma, enteroviruses and other organisms as causing the neurotoxic effects in ALS. Other studies show that organophosphates and heavy metal toxicity may play a role in slow progressing ALS. We all have these substances in our bodies, but the integrity of the blood-brain barrier prevents any such organisms from accessing the anterior horn cells (the cells which are killed in ALS). And it only takes one anterior horn cell to die in ALS, and the rest is a cascade effect - excess glutamate and toxins and organisms released from a dead AH cell triggers the death of the next and so on.

It is obvious that the humaworm cleanse in my case triggered toxin release in the central nervous system to trigger AH death, or it may have intoduced pathogenic organisms to the CNS. 1/3 of AH cells need to die before you experience symptoms, for me this took 4 months post hw, meaning that in another 8 months all AH cells would be dead, and this is the pace at which it is progressing. You can be as harsh as you want, doesn't really phase someone in my situation. You may say I am speculating, but this is very real. The fact that I did not eliminate well during the cleanse would have been a major contributor, something which was not stressed at the time.

It's easy to say that mind over matter stuff and that terminal illnesses can be healed by the power of the mind. This is ALS, not cancer, and ALS is notoriously cruel. I have read hundreds of stories of ALS sufferers, the most inspirational and strong people imaginable, who have moved mountains to be healed, and all have succumbed fairly quickly. I have searched far and wide for a case of definite ALS that has been cured, to no avail. If the mind-body connection thing were true, at least one reported case of ALS cured would exist.

I am barking up the wrong tree I know - but there is no correct tree to bark up with ALS. Imagine you muscles twitching, and every twitch signals your muscles dying, and you get weaker by the day - and you can't stop it - and you have yourself to blame for willingly taking some herbs behind your GPs back.... what options are left to you? This is where I am now.
