There once was a lady from the child support division who explained to my first wife how important it is to have her children's father in their life///
Ten years...post nde///Even though I was poor beyond poor...with a reinjured neck..no money...disabled...crushed down...with a broken heart... my former wife... she sent my children with me,,, even though I had not been able to pay her what the state wanted from me... We all lived in a little cottage.. with my new girlfriend...who became my second now deceased wife...and ...her son...on Christmas Holidays... Spring Break too/// and in the Summers...by the sea,,,with no tee vee... We always took two trash bags each...with one we cleaned the beach,,,with the other children in the neighborhood...in the second we collected aluminum cans on the sand for gas and candy...then they went swimming with the other children who tagged along... It was a magikal time...
I believe there is a system in place in Amerika...that separates men from their wives...fathers from their children...but for that angel... there I would be... and in return a breakthrough came for me when I began praying for my ex good things and later good things for her husband too... We may not be friends...but we share three children that we love...and a grandson too...
I can never thank that angel who spoke to my ex enough... Today... I am free of pain...my injury a thing of the past... My oldest daughter visits me each week for lunch...at the school for blind adults... where I teach lifeskills.. .she is a teacher too...My middle daughter she is off in college...at my Alumni... She has a sense of sadness,,, I think somehow she got it from me... I also sense that I have failed her somehow,,, My younger middle daughter...she visited me for halloween... she made with my gentle supervision a masque of paper mache... and painted it red and yellow...added boots and off she went as her animee hero..and we ran across her young male friend... in another town... far away,,, My little one...who now is three... she wanted to be an angel...but the wings wouldn't stay on her tiny little frame...she instead went as a cheerleader...and so she has been to me... We walked along... together... gathering candy...my little one when her sister left...to return to her mother...begged her not to go...and as we left///she said... " but I miss her...forever!" but I dropped her off and on we went...
Close to ten years late///I plant a seed of thankfulness///for that one lady...It made all the difference in my life...
This song reminded me of what matters;
