Hi everybody.
I'm new to curezone as a poster, but have been reading for along time :D
Any help anyone can give me will be fantastic... Last December I developed
a Bartholin's cyst, not painful, but got bigger and bigger over a period of time. My usual positive thinking didn't help this time in getting rid of it.

After a few weeks it turned to an abscess, the pain was horrendous, the abscess grew
to the size of a small orange. GP gave me Antibiotics (of course) which I didn't take. I was hospitalised and was told I would need to have marsupialisation but the abscess burst spontaneously overnight. I thought that would be the end of it...

After a couple of weeks the abscess was back, this time it burst spontaneously before I could get to the hospital. Consultant told me they could do nothing with it until it flared up again.

It has flared up again, but it's a cyst at the moment, and hasn't abscessed. I am booked in for marsupialisation, the waiting list for which is 6 months. There is a small degree of pain on my labia and on the area where it has previously burst but at the moment, I'm having sitz baths and hoping for the best. If anyone has had a bartholins abscess, you'll know how painful they are - I don't want to go through that again, and the consultant told me that it may be something I have to put up with for the rest of my life. I refuse to believe that!!!

I'm wondering... if I did a parasite flush, kidney flush, liver flush, colon cleanse... would any of those things be of help with this? Should I go ahead with the marsup, considering I've been warned that I could get infections and due to the area, haematoma is possible? There has to be something I can do without resorting to surgery and the doctors say there's no guarantee it won't come back even after surgery. Any help or advice gratefully received.

Thanks,
Phoebe
