JAUNT

I visit the skies at night
I'm not allowed to go there at daybreak
It's too bright
The light fills the air when I fly
'Else I would hit the clouds
'Stead of breeze them by.

Winds carry me to places I used to go
When I was first young.
Fun places,
Places I visited before I was born.

My soul drifts on seeds I planted long ago
I remember now,
What I was supposed to forget.
