Yes, I am back! After Ejuva and now to RAW.
Ejuva and Raw Food
Date: 9/27/2006 10:32:51 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 3492 times Well, I am back. I am back to being raw, if you want to look at it, technically 95-100% because I do not always use raw seasonings...;)
I did the Ejuva Cleanse last month, I have to say that it was one of the best cleanses I have ever done. I would not say that weightloss was the huge thing, it was more just getting all the mucus and cooked food residue out of my body.
I love the Master Cleanse, but I suck at transitioning out and maintaining, ergo weight comes back and off...blah, blah! But Accountability keeps me honest and I did the EJUVA cleanse with a group at Cousin's IV (see below). I actually think I am truly ready for a Master Cleanse (again), but I think I will be able to not BINGE and undo all that hard work!
Transitioning was difficult, meaning I was being a bad raw foodist and eating 3 avocados a day and many, many nuts. But now, I do not crave the fatty stuff as much. I even made a cashew lemon raw 'cheesecake' this weekend and I have only had a couple of pieces. But my husband loves it! And, my 6 year old said he wants to try it! (He has an 'eating disorder' and that's another project, I am sure he will catch on soon!)
Another thing is that I am studying to become a raw food chef AND my husband took the class with me. It was one of the best things we have done for our marriage, ya know, after 13 years ya need a little spark ;). We hope to have a business in our city with another couple within the next 2 years...after we get our certification. We are very excited!
Also, I do want to give a shout out to Mehmet Ak and 'Cousin's IV'. He has opened this wonderful restaurant and center in at 3038 W. Irving Park in Chicago. If it was not for another outlet in Chicago, I would not be where I am right now. He is very giving of his time and expertise and his love and support to the raw food community. I want to really help spread the joy of living foods with the community we have found.
Anyway, more later on some of the discoveries I have had...I start every morning with a green fruit smoothie, like clockwork and eat raw throughout the day! Now, I just gotta workout again!
