Look Missy, I went to 7 regular endocrinologists and they all told me the same thing, just take synthroid for your thyroid. Not one bothered to check my thyroid antibodies nor my adrenals. I listened to these quacks, who are only allowed to prescribe according to their pharmaceutical controlled insurance companies, and made myself worse by taking this med for years. I kept telling each one that my symmptoms didn't correspond to being hypothyroid or hyper either, completely in conflict, but they just brushed it aside. This is what is coming out of the med schools now, complete imbecil puppets. I finally read the website of Rind on adrenals and realized that it was my adrenals not the thyroid and I had been mis-diagnosed for years and probably ruined my health now because of it. Now it even says very clearly in the Medical Journals that all physicians must abide by that no doctor should treat the thyroid until the adrenals are checked, but forget it. I finally had one consultation with Rind and am hoping I'm on the right path now, I don't know yet b/c I'm not cured, but it seems he is the only one of those Top Docs that I went to that seems to understand the difference between adrenals and thyroid. So if your paperwork was a bit skewed, I couldn't give a damn; you can go to your b/c, b/s doctors who will give you meds that are only allowed under their med plan, and go ahead then and see if you get well. That's your option. For my part, I've had enough of these worthless docs, I prefer to go to one that thinks outside the control..........
