I’m afraid it’s to early to tell.

She had the seizure due to the stroke. (The most likely scenario.)

The grand mal may have been a one time thing.

You’re not going to know until the Dilantin is removed.

Even then, if she has another seizure she may only need to use Dilantin for a number of months until “something” heals.

Sadly, there is always the fear of going off Dilanitn.

My wife is epileptic and has taken Dilantin for decades, so I understand some of the fears.

I wish I could give you better news.
