Re: Metal Braces

well, there are some ceramic braces, i believe.  they will still have metals, namely aluminum, so you may want to go that route.  but, i believe they still have to use wires on them and those have nickel.  the invisalign are the least toxic of braces.  there is no way to get braces that are toxic free.  what i would recommend is to contact terry dischinger and send your info and tell him you do not want metal braces and see what he says would work.  he's a very gifted orthodontist, so i imagine he would know.

terry dischinger is a former portland trailblazer.  Dischinger practices orthodontics with his son, Bill Dischinger, in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Dischinger is considered nationally as a leader in both functional jaw orthopedics and orthodontic technology and has lectured extensively throughout the United States.  i have actually been to his office.  he is famous for never pulling teeth to put on braces.  he is sent cases from all over the world.  i would consult his office first before getting any teeth pulled.  if you do have teeth pulled for any other reason, it is best to go to a biologic dentist so that you do not form a cavitation in your jaw.
