Answers to your questions. I'm actually in my early 30's. I have not had any children but am in child bearing years for sure. I had originally started the maca in a protein mix called Vega (in healthfood stores in Canada). Then I started taking the powdered root in capsules. I was taking around 1000mg a day for about 3 months, then only 500mg a day for the last 2 months or so.
I too think maybe its resulting from dietary reasons with all the new protein. The additional protein in my diet this summer was in whey powder form or hemp powder (both recommended by a nutritionist).
I've stopped taking the maca root to see if there are any changes. I'll try this for a few months and reduce the protein (just a bit) too.
Also the kundalini yoga is intense exercise. It is supposed to balance hormones and stimulate healthy cellular growth in the entire body...
