Re: What I dont understand....
All right, let's have a debate.
Let's start off with this question...
How can oxidation benefit the body?
Keep in mind that there are several oxidation therapies that report anecdotal improvements.
For example how about hyperbaric oxygen chambers? Oxygen is needed to sustain life, but increasing blood plasma levels of oxygen also increase the possibility of oxidative damage.
Is there any
Science that supports the claim that increasing oxygen levels in the body cure anything?
And, what about hydrogen peroxide? There are multiple methods of using hydrogen peroxide and many dangers associated with its use.
Is there any
Science that supports the various claims that suggest using hydrogen peroxide in various ways actually cures anything?
Moving on, how about ozone? Ozone can be very dangerous, yet many people seem to be helped following ozone therapy.
Is there any
Science that supports the claim that ozone actually cures anything?
What about hydrochloric acid? HCl is a very strong oxidizer that is capable of melting the skin off of your body. Yet, many people claim benefits from using HCl.
Is there any science that supports the claim that HCl actually cures anything?
Now we come to the chlorine family. Chlorine, hypochlorous acid, calcium hypochlorite, sodium chlorite, sodium chlorate, sodium chlorite, chlorite, chlorate, chloride, chlorine dioxide, chlorous acid and the other members of this family are all dangerous chemicals, but is there any science that suggests that any of these can benefit the body in any way.
The air we breathe has a certain concentration of oxygen in it. If that concentration drops below 19.5%, the ability to support life drops. In the body if the oxygen level in the blood drops below 90% some damage is done to the body.
If we took a bath in hydrochloric acid our skin and tissue would dissolve, yet that same strength acid is contained within our stomach to break down the food we eat.
Rather than putting the focus on how everything can be dangerous, let's debate how some of these "dangerous" things may be able to improve health.
It is obvious that Jim Humble is suffering from oxidative stress damage in that he has developed selective memory. That is the only way he can come up with a 98% "cure" rate. We all know that the
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol is flawed, but that doesn't mean that using the oxidation potential of sodium chlorite can't offer some benefit to health. Once we figure out how a benefit is possible, then we can look at the risks involved. Then it becomes a risk versus reward consideration.
When I question medical professionals about the possible benefits of oxidation therapy, they always get around to saying that it will work if it can be targeted. Traditional medicine knows that oxidants work very well, they just have difficulty in targeting the oxidation in a way that doesn't harm healthy parts of the body. Broad spectrum approaches are used, but are not the first choice because of the risks involved.
We have both ends of the spectrum. At high concentrations, bleaching occurs, and death. At the low levels used for water purification, there are no indications of any health improvement other than having pure water. Over the past 60 years or so, people have been looking at the area inbetween these two extremes, and I think that is worth looking at.
Jim Humble may have missed the boat. In an effort to determine how things work, he may have jumped to the wrong conclusion. Just because activated sodium chlorite produces chlorine dioxide doesn't mean that you should activate it before taking it. He may have had better results by simply continuing the promotion of "stabilized oxygen." Since the 1960's there are a lot of people that say they have seen improvement in their health using the various "stabilized oxygen" products, and a couple of tests that show improvement in the bloods ability to carry oxygen.
Jim Humble is showing some improvement. He started out with 100% cure and I have heard him drop that to as low as 95%. He started off using massive doses. He is still using massive doses, but is spreading them out throughout the day. He started out saying
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement was safe, but in his latest book he has a list of dangers and cautions involving the handling and use of
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement . But, he still has a long way to go.
So, back to the topic at hand. Forget Jim Humble and MMS for the moment. Is it possible that the body can use some extra oxidation in an effort to maintain health?
