Re: Sutherlandia opc conclusion?

It depends on what you choose to believe.  On one hand we have someone who I assume sells the product or at least has some type of ties with the seller.  And then there are people like me who have not seen any proof that the stuff works in the human body.  The only medical abstracts presented only showed it worked in petri dishes and only against some cancer cell lines.  If that is evidence to you then I say go for it.  Personally I do not see that as evidence since many things have been shown to kill cells in a petri dish, but not in the body.  Again vitamin C can kill some cells in petri dishes but does not do this in the body.

And from what I have seen on the sales sites it is believed that the polysaccharides are the active component.  Polysaccharides are found in all sorts of plants that do not have to be heavily processed to render them non-toxic.  These include seaweeds, astragalus, medicinal mushrooms, myrrh, schisandra, birch bark, aloe vera, echinacea, etc., etc., etc.  And some of these herbs provide other anti-cancer effects such as myrrh and to a lesser extent echinacea, which also kill cancer microbes and blocks metastases by inhibiting the enzyme hyaluronidase.  Medicinal mushrooms are also sources of the antitumor compound organic germanium, especially turkey tail mushrooms, and many will stimulate interferon production.  The herb suma is the highest herbal source of organic germanium.  Astragalus and schisandra also support the adrenals, which play major roles in immune regulation.  Red seaweeds in particular are even stronger anti-cancer compounds due to their strong antiviral effects.  Birch bark also contains the antiviral and antitumor compound betulinic acid.  All of these herbs have the studies to back them, so personally I would go with these herbs long before I would even look at Sutherlandia OPC simply because I prefer things that have been proven to work and to be safe.

Again this is my opinion.  Others may have opposing views.

For most cancers though I personally would choose ozone therapy over any other therapy since it has been proven to work, proven very safe and the chemistry of how it works on so many levels has been identified.  Again I prefer things that are proven and their actions are known.  Not supposed actions and chemistry.
