Re: I've decided to stop moderating
IMO in the
Debate Forums , any moderator must be unbiased, in this case, Mira has been posting vigorously against the pro-choice side of the debate, so is it any wonder that people get upset when their posts are edited, by someone who has an obvious bias.
The posts that were edited contained no breaches of TOS, no personal attacks etc. Once edited or deleted, these posts cannot be restored. So people are quite rightly angry at what they see as censorship.
I have noticed in the
Liver Flush debate forum, that people no longer post there very much at all, because the moderation was so obviously biased in favour of the
Liver Flushing protocol, that debate has been successfully put down.
I personally would not like to see the same thing happen here or on any other
Debate Forums .
Moderation can be a good thing, where there are personal attacks, slander of other posters, name calling etc. These are not subtle things, and are very obvious.
