Beautiful and poignant tribute to a good person!// In the horrific scene of the oil spill, (the earth literally turned inside out and spewing its guts forth) I know there is more light than darkness. Why is this? Perhaps it is that earth's black blood-- oil-- is in itself only matter; and when we penetrate a bit deeper, we can see a brilliance more real than matter itself.// Here where I live among dense sages that grow as high as the fender on a long-abandoned rusting pickup in the rolling fields of a once flourishing ranch; and where wee children play among these tall shrubs making paths and rooms within the prickly scent, we breathe deeply of healing sage and know that all is well, all is well...
