Re: Jila Monsters & the 5th World

Yes... but there were no systems in place then or even today to help children develop that soul/body relationship... Left to my own devices, I was a cruel overlord to all those hapless creatures who crossed my path..who were within my power to be cruel towards.
Having pets was helpful for taming that psychopath in training... but somewhere, when I was much younger, what if someone had sat me down and told me the universal law to treat all creatures great and small with dignity. If we are going to kill animals and bugs then we should have clear guidelines about when and where that is allowable? How can I fault anyone for squishing an ant crawling on them or swatting at a mosquito buzzing about ears? They are pitting themselves against me. I have no problem, even today, killing a poisonous spider or a snake...or a cockroach in my house... but when I am in in desert or woods... in their home... it seems there should be an internal meter that tells me not to capture and kill anything not physically attacking me. In this current system free-will allows us to become psychopaths if we so choose but I would hope there there would be a better system in place that actually would have let me know that all life is sacred and should not be taken without contemplating the consequences of that action.
I remember my 3 year old brother playing with still blind days old puppies... and getting up on the slide and sliding them... over and over... down the slide until they all died. I took it on myself to bury the puppies but I only buried them in a shallow grave and a large animal kept digging them up and left their dead bodies strewn about. I finally just threw them in the trash... It seems that that should never have happened and still many people grow up and play army ... go around killing people and still never get it...
The moon was recently bombed and all I could think was that mankind should ever be allowed to ever leave the planet until they learn to treat themselves and other life forms on earth with dignity and respect first...
