I am certain that is why I indulge myself
in going outside at night and looking up
at the stars. I KNOW I am not alone in this.
The shepherd out on the Mongolian tundra is
also looking up and wondering of life and
its mysteries....just like me. It helps me
feel expansive in my humanity, and yet, also
more certain of my divinity. The distance
between myself and others seems smaller
this way. I especially like praying there,
knowing others are praying for me. It is
a certainty and a richness of life that
I find very fulfilling. I am sure people
eons ago did it, and thousands of years
in the future, if humans are still here,
they too, will do it.

Of course, standing in a check-out line
or creeping in rush-hour traffic also
allows for plenty of opportunity to meet
the challenge of being that "trainer" or
healer. Like will attract like however,
and living like I do, still I marvel
that like minded people find me, and me,
them.

For my time, and being a product of the
Beat Generation latter days, I enjoy my
inner stream of consciousness and go with
the flow. I hardly ever stop to fish or
consider slowing the stream or diverting
it in any way. If others in my life come
along and propose damming it up, I have
found myself to be fiercely protective of
my peace of mind...lol.

I think a couple of the considerations &
lessons proffered by NDEs, for me, were
that you never know when your number is
up and it is your time to go. I find it
best to not save my best soaps or towels,
and to enjoy my life as if each day were
my last. I take more chances to say I
love someone, and to ask for hugs and to
give them. I know how precious a day is.
Not that I have to fill it up with much
ado about anything either. Some days merely
watching the dust settle are some of the
most productive and memorable days for me.
I know for certain that I am no longer
rehearsing for "when I grow up". There
are few if any regrets and I like the
challenge of being courageous. My former
husband told me a few years back that I
was the most courageous person he ever met.
I was puzzled by this but this much time
later, I understand his words more and
have to consider it another gift of my
own NDEs.

I hear you on the contamination that is
going on globally. Hard to imagine the
enormity of the problem so all the more
difficult to imagine the solution. I do
consider Black Holes and the sucking
sound of stars going in and think it may
be like that. That in surrender we find
the freedom to live well.
