Never really got any help from them. I think "field" knowledge counts for far more that book learnin'. Well they both help; but you know what I mean. Practice is everything. I have a high IQ and reasonable education; but that education did not really prepare me for the extremely fast progressive computer industry. You just gotta get hands on experience. I finally had to retire. I'm not to old to learn. I just too old to want to anymore.
Oh! And I have a Field Guide to Edible & Useful Wild Plants of North America. I would not dare put that to test in the field. The plants? They all look alike to me.
