Environmental toxins & choice of sources

Environmental toxins (halogens) is a constant problem and we're exposed to it daily (tap water, toothpaste etc). What other choice but to supplement iodine?

The other question is affordable sources of iodine. Kelp in its natural form is expensive, at least in my country.

Lugols iodine also fixed my hair shedding, I used to shed 50-100 strands a day. Took Lugols for a few months and the issue never came back since, not even after I stopped Lugols. It also fixed my wife's menstrual cramps and breast pain before a period.

It looks more like a deficiency and absorption issue to me.
