You are right, but in defense of the noted herbalist Leslie Dru Browning . . .
Charlie - I agree that it would be nice to be able to consult a true pro like yourself and get an individual regimen of herbs and treatments, but when you are making a universal recipe for people and conditions in general, a wide approach is the best one, and that is what the Browning recipes are: general tonics for everyone for specific conditions.
My own anti-cancer protocol (not tonic) uses a similar approach. It addresses every area I know about cancer to give a person the best chances of beating cancer. Cancer and other illnesses wait no one - and no one has the magic powers to determine exactly what caused cancer in every instance and every person. True, my protocol could be more specific for individuals and for different kinds of cancers. Nevertheless, I will put it up against any cancer fighting protocol in the world. The results are what count - especially if you do no harm in the process.
By the way, did you happen to note just who the maker of the tonics here is? Pretty darn impressive credentials to me:
