I agree it is all to often we let man decide our fate when it isnt are right to decide. We have all heard of homcide in county hospital settings due to love one be persudaded by staff to "relieve the patients pain" or what "best for the patient" when all thats needed is quality intervention or prayer with faith. So what a sad thing when these lies interfere with are emotions to do the "right" thing. We should learn from these events to use sound judgement we dealing with these complex issues.

Their concern was with Terri’s Medical-Malpractice (Med-Mal) suit award (1993) for their livelihoods and retirements. Both Bob Sr. and Mary Schindler knew Terri’s true non-recoverable condition from the same doctors that told Michael Schiavo. The Schindlers were surprised when they were informed that THEY would not receive any of the Medical-Malpractice (Mel-Mal) award. The Schindlers were requesting public donations to pay for their legal expense which was already being paid by other rich foundations. Currently all four of the Schindlers’s livelihoods and retirements are now being provided by those donations of millions of dollars, which they are still requesting donations to their Terri Schindler Foundation and to which they are all employed. This was/is another fraud on these public donors.

Here are just a few examples:
Pat Anderson [lawyer for the Schindlers] works with the Alliance Defense Fund, which received $143,000 from Philanthropy Roundtable members that include the Lynde & Harry Bradley Foundation and the Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation. Wesley Smith works with the Discovery Institute, which received $175,000 from the Lynde & Harry Bradley Foundation. Diane Colemen’s “friend of the court” brief is signed by the World Institute on Disability and the National Organization on Disability, which are funded by the Scaife Family Foundations, the Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation, and the JM Foundations.
The other “friend of the court” brief supporting Governor Bush was filed by the Family Research Council, which was formerly headed by Bush’s lawyer Kenneth Connor and which received $215,000 from the Lynde & Harry Bradley Foundation. Rita Marker’s organization, the International Task Force on Euthanasia, received $110,390 from the Randolph Foundation, an affiliate of the Smith Richardson family. Bush’s lawyer Robert Destro has ties to the Council on Economic and Policy Education, which is funded by the Randolph and JM Foundations.
The two new Schindler lawyers, Deborah Berliner and Brett Wood, are affiliated with Judicial Watch Inc, which received $7,069,500 from the Scaife and DeVos Foundations.
And in the thick of this is Governor Jeb Bush, a former director of the Heritage Foundation. The Heritage Foundation is a creation of Joseph Coors and one of the most prominent member of the Philanthropy Roundtable. The Heritage Foundation has been funded to the tune of $47 million by among others – you guessed it – the Bradley, Schaife, DeVos and JM Foundations.”
Jon B. Eisenberg is an attorney who practices in Oakland, California and is an adjunct professor at the University of California Hastings College of the Law. His specialty is civil appeals, on which he publishes a widely-use California treatise. His work mostly involves commercial and liability disputes, but his occasional forays into pro bono work lead him to cases like Terri Schiavo litigation, where he filed a amicus curiae brief in the Florida Supreme Court on behalf of 55 bioethicists and a disability rights organization opposing Governor Jeb Bush.
The Money sure adds up…..and so did the donations.
Why was the Schindlers’ “Terri Fight Foundation” requesting financial assistance (DONATIONS) with this kind of financial support already in hand?
What were the agendas of these rich foundations with this amount of money to hand out for the Schindlers?
With this amount of money and influence these FOUNDATIONS could have found and financed “real medical expertise” that could have helped Terri’s brain be regenerated, if that were a possibility – which it wasn’t.
The answer to these questions is: they were interest in the media coverage and “buying” of the support of the Right-To-Life and NeoChristian Right leadership and VOTES for the NeoPower Right (George W. Bush & Co., THEY, etc.).
The Schindlers produced and presented a false display of Terri Schiavo condition with their highly edited 4-minutes of staged videos out of 4-hour of videos made by them. That alone shows their intention were to falsify Terri true condition and also proved the Schindlers knew the TRUE condition of Terri Schiavo for them to even to create these video falsehoods.
These highly edited videos were the Schindlers’ biggest distortion of the truth to the world and their donors. Their video fraud worked with the media, politicians and the public but not in the courts. The courts viewed all 4+-hour of videos. If the Schindlers had releases all 4+-hours it would prove their fraud.
The Schindlers have taken the "legal fees" donations and created a nice little racket for their livelihoods and retirements.
The Schindlers did make a living and retirement off their daughter name, Theresa Marie Schiavo. With their reported income sources drying up each Schindler will have trouble explaining their sources of unreported income and no taxes paid. This will or should flag the IRS. However, we know how incompetent the IRS is, the Schindlers may just get away with their donation scam and income shell game.

Actually, it is Mary Schindler's attempt to sanitize daughter Suzanne's dicey marital history that is one of my favorite flat-out lies in the Schindlers' "Terri" book. On page 85, Mary writes (referring to early February 2000), "Suzanne was a stockbroker for TD Waterhouse by day and a wife and mother at night."
Not true. Suzanne Schindler Carr and her first husband, Daniel, were divorced on 2/29/96 in Palm Beach County, FL. Apparently feeling no great loss in his life, Daniel Carr remarried on 11/30/96...9 months later. By early 1997, Suzanne Carr and her boyfriend were sharing a home with Suzanne's then-3-year old daughter from her first marriage. Suzanne Carr and Michael Vitadamo, the man she had been living with for about 7 years, were married on 3/5/04.
Contrary to what Mary Schindler might wish was true--or might wish that others would believe to be true--in early February 2000, Suzanne Schindler Carr was certainly a mother, but she was not a "wife," at least not in the eyes of either the law or the Catholic Church, and I'm guessing that her mama knew better, too.
Now, frankly, Suzanne's history of extra-marital fornication and cohabitation doesn't bother me, personally, a bit. I couldn't care less if Suzanne Schindler Carr Vitadamo was a nun or the easy-peazy fan-dancing queen of one of Joe Redner's Bay area strip clubs, walking the Ybor City main drag on her nights off. Nope, I couldn't care less.
But for the Schindler family to have the unmitigated gall and hypocrisy to point a bony holier-than-thou finger at Michael Schiavo and Jodi Centonze, and to cloak themselves (including Suzanne and Bobby) in some aura of "devout Catholicism" just pretty much pissed me off...let he who is without sin cast the first stone, and all that.

Bobby Schindler, the brother of Terri Shiavo, the young woman who was dehydrated to death in Florida in 2005, has become a prominent opponent of euthanasia since that wrenching time for his family. In a recent Challenge magazine interview with Alex Schadenberg of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, Schindler revealed the shocking details of the support from many prominent Catholic clergy for the court ordered removal of food and hydration from Terri. Bobby is a practicing Catholic as was his sister.
Schindler stated that his sister "was not dying, not attached to any type of machinery and was only being sustained by food and water via a feeding tube." He noted that Catholic teaching does not allow a person "regardless of any advanced directive or even the sworn testimony of another person" to refuse food and water with the intent to cause their own death or that of another.
Still, Fr. Gerard Murphy of the Diocese of St. Petersburgh, Florida actually helped Judge Greer make the decision to dehydrate and starve Terri to death. Fr. Murphy did not consult with any members of Terri's family and did not even visit Terri. Murphy did however consult with Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, an assisted suicide/euthanasia activist, and testified on behalf of Michael Schiavo.
Bishop Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg refused to help the family stop the euthanasia death order and supported Father Murphy's seriously flawed position. The bishop eventually issued a confusing statement that was of no help to the situation and after that the Florida bishops supported Bishop Lynch's position.
Other prominent US clergy also made public statements condoning what was happening to Terri.
Schindler said Jesuit Father John Paris, professor at Boston College, commented on Pope John Paul II's statement mandating life sustaining treatment. Paris said in these situations, "I think the best thing to do is ignore it and it will go away. It's not an authoritative teaching statement. The problem here is that non-Catholics think when the Pope says 'Jump,' we all
say, 'How high?'"
Father Kevin O'Rourke, ethics professor at the Loyola University of Chicago Medical School, told the Miami Herald that preserving Terri's life was "blasphemy." He also said, "For Christians, it is a blasphemy to keep people alive as if you were doing them a favor."
Father Richard McBrien, theology professor at the University of Notre Dame, told Bill O'Reilly of Fox News that, "This is not a question of euthanasia," directly contradicting the Vatican. "This is the removal of an 'extraordinary' means of sustaining life …"
Fortunately, there were many other priests and some bishops who were appalled by what was happening. The Vatican began issuing their own statements. Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan, president of the Pontifical Council for Health Care, said, "Food and hydration are never considered medicine. To remove them means euthanasia, it means killing, and so this woman was killed by hunger and starvation. Let's stop with the euphemisms - they killed her."
Then, on March 31, Cardinal (Renato) Martino issued the strongest statement yet from Rome, when he said, "Whoever stands idly by without trying to prevent the death of Terri Schindler-Schiavo becomes an accomplice to murder."
Terri was successfully murdered as she succumbed to the extended withholding of food and water on March 31, 2005.
