(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Nicotine patches were created to help smokers quit, but researchers are conducting a study to see if they can also help patients who suffer from a chronic lung disease. Sarcoidosis is a growth of inflammatory cells, most likely triggered by inhaling pesticides or other toxic materials. If the condition doesn’t go away on its own, it can cause severe lung damage and even death.
Traditionally, sarcoidosis is treated with steroids, but long-term use can cause severe side effects, including high blood pressure, osteoporosis and diabetes.
So, researchers at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center conducted a small three-month clinical trial using nicotine patches as a treatment for sarcoidosis. After seeing promising results, they’ve launched a larger randomized trial that will dig deeper into whether nicotine patches can be a long-term solution for managing the disease.
“When we examine the data, we hope to find that the nicotine patches help stop or even reverse the growth of sarcoidosis cells,” said Dr. Elliott Crouser, who is leading the clinical trial. “And because nicotine is a stimulant, patients also get a secondary benefit. Extreme fatigue is the most common symptom of sarcoidosis, and the patches help them get through their day with more energy.”
The trial will last 6 months and researchers will use CAT scans along with a newly developed computer analysis system measure the amount of sarcoidosis in patients’ bodies.

Some ideas to research. The link between Psoriasis and Parkinson's. I believe the link is Calcium Ion Channels. In our skin there is a process known as differentiation. That is when the Dermal cells change into Epidermal cells. There are Calcium Ion Channels in the skin cells that must be able to open to complete this process. It is common knowledge that Vitamin K2 will help reduce vascular calcium buildup. How does it do that? It opens Calcium Ion channels in our BONES and TEETH, allowing the calcium to enter the cells to make our teeth and bones healthy. It also opens the Calcium Ion channels in our SKIN and BRAIN. Calcium is what sends the signal in our neurons to release Neurotransmitters (Dopamine).

Vitamin K2 also affects these receptors by opening the calcium ion channels. It is well known it does this in your In your teeth and bones, but it also does it in your BRAIN AND SKIN. Your cells need the MK4 form Menatetrenone. MK7 can be converted, but it has to be converted for your cells to use it.
People with Psoriasis are at greater risk of getting Parkinsons or Parkinsonism. It may be related.

I believe people with Parkinsons will benefit from Vitamin K2 MK4 Menatetrenone along with the nicotine. They both are needed. Nicotine is a Phytonutrient found in all Nightshade vegetables. It is not addictive. Calcium Ion Channels need to be opened, which is what sends the signal for Neurotransmitter release.

Take Menatetrenone 5 mg twice daily, If you have Psoriasis. It got rid of mine. If you have Parkinsons, or both, take the Nicotine as Dr. Ardis said, and try adding the MK4 Menatetrenone.
