Moreless,
At the risk of gushing once again, I feel truly blessed to have found this forum and yours and Maya's guidance. I know I could have spent years knocking around trying to find my way as some have, but instead, in a few short months I am already getting back on track and healing. The results have been amazing.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you. May you never feel your work goes unnoticed or unappreciated.
My problem: My pH strips first indicated a very poor 5.5. I have been able to slowly raise it, even a couple of times getting up to 7.25 (after eating local watermelon and so forth). (Side note -- it's amazing how emotions will affect pH.)
Results also indicated around a healthy 7.25 for both my husband and 6 year old -- good news and a relief -- but around 5.75 for my 3 year old, so I've been very concerned about her since I haven't been able to raise it much.
On top of that, one of my children had contracted pinworms during the summer (probably at one of the day camps) and gave it to my other child (I can't say who had it first). They both went on Menbendozale and were fine after that. However, just three days ago, my youngest started complaining about itching on her bottom again. I brought her in to the MD and she is undergoing stool testing, but because of the history she was allowed to go on another prescription of mebendazole while waiting for stool test results.
It's hard for me to say whether the infection is lowering her pH or the lowered pH is allowing the infection. She eats pretty healthy, almost zero refined sugar and processed foods, very little meat and lots of veggies. However, I can't say that this was always so as until recently I was a lot more lax. In the last few months I have made big strides. I can't get her to eat fruit, though, except very recently she will drink peach/banana smoothies and variations on that.
Is the alkalizing drink appropriate for a 3 year old? I suspect I would have a very difficult time getting her to drink it. Also, I'm wondering if the detox baths are okay for her and if there's anything else I might be able to do.
I'm very worried about her. As always, many thanks for any help you can provide.
