I decided that I would create a blog describing my 30 day apple fast to help me get through it. I've been trying to do this fast for months and months, but I always quit. So I figured if I shouted it out to the world that I am going to achieve my goal, it will happen. So here I go!
Im a type 1 diabetic and about 30 pounds overweight. I have been my whole life. I used to be a ballet dancer, and the weight was always a problem and prevented me from dancing as good as I could. After I got sick I stopped dancing. Now that I'm ready to dance again, I just can't make myself go until I reach my goal of being at my ideal weight. I currently weigh 158 pounds and am 5'3. My goal is to be 120 pounds by Halloween and Im gonna do it by eating nothing but apples and drinking lemon water.
I have done this fast before and it was very successful. I did it for 2 weeks and lost about 15 pounds. I got down to 145 after that and kept it off for months.
After starting to get looser with my strict diet, the weight crept back up and I am now back to where I was before the fast.
Another great thing about this fast is that it really lowers my insulin levels. In fact, it was designed to do just that by Walter Last. So that is of course an added bonus!
Well, tomorrow is my first day and can't wait!
I've decided that I'm not going to weigh myself until day 7. Just to give me something to look forward to.
Man this is exciting! HAHA
