Fungal meaning in you maybe have too much fungus/mold (candida), or living yeast cultures in your body.

I am saying there may be a type of fungal infection in the large intestine, of both yourself and husband. This may cause mucus build-up. Bacteria which infect bowels would cause very nasty symptoms. But it seems there are even hybrids out there, so who knows for sure. I would try antifungal protocols and see if you respond to this.
As for parasites, I am not ruling that out, I just do not think the samples are parasitic in nature, and look too much like typical mucus. Plus the lab did identify it as mucus---although lab results often make me suspicious.
