Hello my daughter is in grade 7 and is facing Hepatitis vaccinations. Unfortunately I have vaccinated her when she was a baby but became more knowledgeable and decided that she will no longer receive any. I am worried about the other children that are and if she should stay away from school for those days. And for how long? Thanks for your help. Laura

My 17-year-old just came home yesterday with a 'note' from school saying he was 'required' to get the Heb B vaccine and I told him NO WAY!! Of course he's had all the regular 'shots' in the past because I was unaware of their dangers back then, but now I know better and he will NOT be vaccinated any more!

This is a reply to # 964,529I wonder why they said your son was required to get the vaccine? I hope they dont press the issue!
I just worry that my daughter will be outcast from some parents in the school, as she is not getting the meningitis vaccine either. She is a very "young" grade 7 and this would affect her greatly. But I must say that she was soooooooo grateful that she doesnt have to have more needles! She was very anxious about it and so I gave her as much information as I could to show her why I wasnt going to let her!
I hope more and more parents decide to inform themselves and we will become the majority. Who would ever think that one of the best things we could do for our childs health is to keep them from getting vaccinated!

Yeah, if I had known then, when my boys were little, what I know now, I'd have not allowed any vaccinations at all. Sigh.

This is a reply to # 964,548Yes that is my beautiful 7 month old Jemma...no vaccinations for her! She is one of the healthiest and sweetest babies I have experience with. I guess you would expect any mom to say that but I am serious. Not one day of sickness, although teething is around the corner so I may take that back, lol!
