If you subscribe to the theory that we are not 'human beings having a spiritual experience', but rather that we are 'spiritual beings having a human experience', then you might find this intrigueing.
Ancient texts and traditions of the East consider a human being to be a temple. I will go one step further. I believe and know I AM a temple of light. Part of this ancient wisdom acknowledges an energy system functioning in the body described as being a vortex type apparatus found at various sectors of the body. There are many of them. Some larger than others.
The seven main energy centres are called chakras. Chakra in Sanskrit means wheel or that which revolves. Located along the spine from the 'crown' of the head to the base of the spine these wheels are spinning when viewed by someone who possesses the 'sight'. Usually someone gifted enough to have one of the 'claires' activated and open. They are able to see, sense or hear subtle energies which are undetectable by the average human. The three claires are 'clair'sentience, 'clair'audience and 'clair'voyance.
These chakras or vortices spin and create a funnel effect into places along the spine. They look like cones whose tip originates at the spine and extends out from the body. The top and bottom chakras are vertically oriented (one on top of the head and one at the spinal base) and the other five form from near the navel to the forehead and are horizontally positioned. The five chakras come in pairs one in front and one behind the body.
If ones subscribes to the above theory that we are spiritual beings having a human experience then another part of that premise is that the human body receives energy beamed to them as food like an etherial substance that is being sent by carrier waves to Earth.
These waves of energy frequency are 'captured' by the chakras and function as energy conversion devices. Since the wheels or cones are spinning the outer edge of this funnel is turning at a much much higher rate than at the tip of the chakra. Once the energy waves are collected by the chakra along the outer edge it is then slowed down to a much lower rate where the subtle energy is then converted into matter. This matter we call our bodies.
At some point in time we evolve and move on to gather or collect other experiences but that is another subject.

This is a reply to # 962,762Yeah, I investigated Chakras many years ago. I wasn't very impressed with it. Seven chakras spinning at various locations about the body. Supposedly collecting energy from the universe so we can live life in a body.
Well, it doesn't make sense to me. If we are spiritual beings we have the capability to create energy at will, anytime we want. No need to go collecting it from the universe. Just create it yourself.
Neurophysiologically it doesn't make sense either. Obviously the brain runs the show. Any brain injury or spinal injury proves that beyond doubt. The brain communicates with the body and the body returns the message to the brain. From above down and back again.
There's no doubt we are spirits living in bodies but where does that spirit actually set up residency? Some say in the solar plexus region. Some say about an inch behind the eyes. And then there's some who say we can be independent of the body and still run it quite well from outside the body. Also I've heard the theory that the brain itself, is the recieving aparatus to collect energy from the universe.
What does it all mean, and does it make any difference in the living of life?
There ARE questions that are not answerable. Where did it all come from in the first place? Are we the creators or is there a higher power that created the whole show? And if so, where did that come from?
You can drive yourself crazy thinking of those things. For sure there are plenty of theories but where are you right now? what are you doing right now? are you helping or do you need help? If you can help - do so. If you need help, ask and it'll be provided. Try to bring peace, health and abundance to this planet and have some fun doing it. Smell the roses, watch the sunset, work hard, be productive and spread some love around. The enemy are those that would stop you from doing those things.
Chakras? Yeah, I investigated all that years ago. Found it rather empty.

Some people never escape their woundedness. Avenues of exploration become dead ends. A part of them is shrivelled. The trauma festers from within and colors their view of reality. It infuses everything and imparts a sense of futility.
It can manifest in other ways. too. Something is easily dismissed when it doesn't make sense. The sun was thought to spin around the earth not too long ago. The earth was flat too. Things didn't make sense in those days either.
Things are collected from the universe so we can have life in a body. Does the sun which is many millions of miles away not affect all of human life? Plants and animals too? I suppose it is so far away that it just can't have an affect. Doesn't make sense either. And there is no connection between sunspot activity and earth quakes or the movement of planets and gravitational forces. Just too far away. Well I guess we could just create energy ourselves. Who needs the sun anyway?
A mind living in a state of conjecture without curiousity is trapped. Imagination is the power to transcend and explore. It is limitless. It is infinite. It is free. The ultimate pain of this reality is the pain of separation. The loss of connection. The inability to draw upon the Spark. The ultimate healing is derived from the joy of recognition and the embrace of grace. The Word that flows into us is full of compassion. Our compassion is our greatest gift.
Everything is connected and has a place. Everything has meaning. The CPQ is always at play here. Not all questions are answered. But no question is unanswerable. We can heal the traumas. A mind that is lateralized is stuck. It is jammed. and it can be freed. I do not subscribe to futility but was never assaulted in a war either. Doesn't make me any better just my experiences are not the same. At some point the post traumatic stress must be addressed so that other avenues can be freed up.

This is a reply to # 963,168Thats nice and i know what kinesiology and alternative versions of it are capable of but if you ask me finding a new way to deal with life is more important then undoing certain events.
Why? Because there will always be stress. SOCIETY needs an overhaul, in the sense of how individuals influence one another and let themselves be influenced in this society. not so much the individual on its own. the narrowmindedness of the flock of sheep called society and the incapability of using ones own mind is the biggest enemy in my humble opinion
Personally i havent found a 'therapy' yet which can magically give me a permanent sense of well-being or different perspective and ive tried quite a few things. This is with, at the moment sort of long-during physical trauma which is unlikely to be resolved any time soon - Re: Conjecture without Curiousity - ... knows

the way i see it is the chakras are the 'pathways' for the emotions to 'harm' the physical body (or enhance the physical body/positive emotions) once those emotions have settled in. there are ways to keep it clear but you could just do it using psychotherapy as well ofcourse instead of crystal turbo chakra healing
