Just wanted to write a little about my experience so far.
I caught herpes about 8 months ago from someone I wasn't in a relationship with. I never get more than one "bump" at a time. It never pops or develops into a blister. I'm thinking that I may have HSV-1 down there or something. Maybe it's HSV-2 but I'm not sure because I never got tested.
Anyway I was seriously depressed for a long time and I just got into a new relationship which inspired me to try and do something about my outbreaks. I read about BHT on the internet and I've been taking it for a little over a week.
About 2 days ago I got a small pimple like bump (about 1/3 of the size of my normal bumps....it's about the size of a pin-head) and it already seems to be going away. I've been taking under 350 mg a day with no St. Johns wort. Just trying to drink a ton of water.
Problem is....I am having severe lower back pain which I'd never in my life had up until I started using BHT. I'm not sure if it's because that's where the herpes virus is located (lower spine). If anyone could shed some light on what that's all about then I would be very grateful. I wonder if it could be a viral "die-off"? I was also vaccinated about a year ago for spinal meningitis. Could the BHT be aggravating that virus?
Whatever the case, the BHT is obviously reducing the size of my outbreaks and I know it's doing something!!!
Also-- I'd rather if no one would respond with posts about the dangers of BHT because I'm aware of them. Any helpful advice would be most appreciated.
