I had a friend who tried this one! Go out and buy a large bunch of parsley. Make yourself a parsley salad and whatever else that you'd like.

When my friend did this she went into labor and had a fairly easy delivery. When she went in for delivery the Attending asked what she did to become dilated. He was one of the few people who knew about the secrets and power of inducing labor with parsley. How about that!

Well I'm probably quite a distance from you...'

I had a post on pregnancy forum on how we induced labor but I believe it was lost in the crash some months back.

We planned the day of arrival for both of our kids. The one who was named after my cousin was to be born on my cousins birthday and the second was to be born on my wifes birthday.

Well for the second one my wife was exhausted on her birthday and no signs of labor yet so we waited for 3 days for recovery.

After 3 days and on her brothers birthday we induced labor as we had with the first by means of nipple stimulation. (I came up with this one so I got the honor) Nipple stimulation causes excretion of pitocin which is the natural hormone that the labor inducer oxytocin is formulated upon. It also gives one a headstart on allowing the milk to drop and helps in losing the pregnancy weight.
