My husband has a thyroid nodule, the doctor did a needle biopsy and found Hurtle cells inside. He said normally he does not see these cells especially in men. He has had his nodule for 5years with no problems to our knowledge it doesn't hurt or anything. The doctor said he would consider this a pre-cancerous condition as these cells are unpredicatable they can be hot get hot or stay cold. His recommendations are to remove this half of his thyroid possibly the whole thyroid if the removed section test indicate cancer or are likely to become cancerous. His surgery is in a month what advice can you offer? His blood results are normal for the function of his thyroid. He is taking a hormone to subdue the work placed on the thyroid. I don't want him to remove it but am afraid for him.

Krista, the new kid on the block is iodine therapy.
The problem that I have with what is being done is that the medical establishment taking Lugol's iodine ... plz remember that these are the same guys that dispense pharmaceuticals.
I agree that iodine deficiency is a MAJOR problem in today's world ... where we got natural iodine has been manipulated by the powers that be and it's been replaced with halogens that damage human health.
MH is working, currently, on a strong iodine formula from plant and ocean sources. In the fall when it's ready, I'll be one of the self-experimenters testing this product.
In the mean time, I'll give you some great reading on iodine so that the 2 of y'all can make an informed decission:

MoreThis is a reply to # 941,955I learned 2 things about lumps:
1. they are all pre-cancer. because once you loose circulation, cancer is the only solution to dissolve the lump.
2. surgery to remove lumps is also known as opening pandora's box.
There is always a reason, remove these reasons and the lumps should dissappear.
