Iodoral is Lugol's in tablet form. One iodoral tablet = 2 drops Lugol's. There is conjecture that perhaps the iodoral is better absorbed...
Lugol's is a heckofalot cheaper.

I am presently doing the Iodoral's (4 tablets, as of this morning) and Lugol's (15 horizontal drops & 2 vertical drops, as of last night). I have not, thus far, seen a difference in either one. I will continue this way though, so as to get 2 doses a day. I am doing the IP6, in the am, and to keep the length time apart the Iodoral's is easier for me in morning cause if I get up late, I can take the pills along to work.

As to where, I have purchased the Lugol's from Science company and the Iodoral's from

Some people experience stomach sensitivity with Lugol's, which does not occur with Iodoral. I'm one of those so I switched to Iodoral. Although, I believe that Vulcanel posted somewhere that taking a little starch (not sure what kind) takes care of this.

And some people simply don't like the taste of Lugol's so they opt for Iodoral instead, but you can also mix it other beverages to cover up the taste.

I'll be switching back to Lugol's (with a bit of starch) when I'm done with the Iodoral because it is cheaper.

i use Lugols and put magnets on the bottle, so it is magnetized lugols.

there are also a couple of other types that are said to be more effective. search for highonwaters posts and see what she has to say about phil's detoxified iodine. she is a very reliable source for this type.

john at magnascent sent me some samples of his nascent iodine. i am going to try that and give my findings here. his is another kind, like the detoxified, that claim to be so much more available to the body that less is needed to do the same job.

if money is not a huge consideration, iodoral is a good way to go. it is standardized for purposes of clinical studies. some people have done drops of Lugols and been doing twice as much as they thought. it didnt hurt anyone, but it did surprise some with how much they were doing.
