Hello Red
If you are referring to photography of 'stones' from a Liver Flush, it is not a dirty job at all. I buy a cheap, closely woven colander for about $1.50AUS, place it in the toilet bowl and simply allow it to catch all the stones. Other matter will typically be there too, so tipping a bucket of water gently over the top will dislodge most of it. The remaining stones then need to be placed onto a surface of contrasting colour (I use a white dinner plate for dramatic effect!).
The 'macro' setting on my camera works for me, too.
As for photographing worms, flukes, & other sizeable creatures, my weapon of choice is the humble dinner fork. I've a few that are pretty crappy and can afford to discard at the end of my Humaworm cycle. I won't use a plastic fork as the 30 day de-worming is almost a mystical experience for me and I will gladly sacrifice some cutlery for the higher good..
I'm sure others have more interesting methods but..
my trick is to place the worm/creature into a transparent Tupperware container (containing some water) and photograph from above and also from below - lift the container up toward a light source and take a shot (be careful that the worm does not slide out and fall into your mouth).
That would be unpleasant and you might not find the worm again.
