Hi ForZion,
Your question: I have wrote you before regarding my 2 year old's eczema. Since we found your forum he is doing much much better. Thank you for all the educating information. My husband and I are reading your posts everyday! Our refractometer is on the way and he is starting a garden in our backyard.
I am still fine tuning our son's diet, following Dr. Robert Young's food guide pyramid in his book "Sick and Tired." I have questions regarding 3 foods in particular: Watermelon, org raisins, and org dates. The tip of the pyramid says "low sugar fruits." Is watermelon alkalizing or acidifying? It is supposed to have the pH of 8, as in lemon, but it does not seem that folks here mention about watermelon a lot, is it due to the sugar in it? A friend of mine who also have eczema told me that watermelon makes her itch.
What about raisins and figs, which is supposed to be high in minerals and yet they are quite sweet too? Another friend said that she did not respond well to a lot of Laraba products, a natural whole food snack, which are mainly different nuts mixed with dates.

Answer: Your Question about foods Quality may "ALL" Depend upon how the foods were grown and what their Alkaline Minerals content may be, which may be measured with a Refractometer !
Natural foods , which have a High Brix reading may also have more Natural Sugars in them !
When you get the Refractometer and start Testing these Different foods, you may begin to understand Better about the lack of Quality in most foods today ?
One problem you may be having with your son yet , is in the eating of Nuts, which he may not be able to properly Digest, til he is older with a stronger Digestive system ?
Smile Tis your choice.
