I don't want to start a debate with you, Tyler Durden, I enjoy your posts & have a lot of respect for you. This question has come up repeatedly. High on Water, also, has reported great results with the detoxified. My point of contention is that all of the SUCCESSFUL studies(on FBD, in particular) have used a source which contains both Iodine & ioDIDE. Studies that used only an Iodide source( SSKI , potassium iodide)...resulted in only PARTIAL healing. The detoxified contains only iodide. It may very well be that there is some quality to the detoxified that enables the body to more easily convert the Iodide to iodide, we don't know that, YET. David Brownstein, MD:

This is a reply to # 913,509boy, i must have it all wrong. i thought the detoxified stuff from phil that HoW was on is elemental I2 in an alcohol base. i would know for sure but i just dont have $20 to spend on a half ounce of it to find out.

If so, I'm surprised and dismayed that I have not been corrected prior to this time!

This is a reply to # 913,538i have never looked too closely because the info you give is correct. both kinds are needed by the body. the devil is in the details, as they say. but if youre getting one and not the other, chances are youre missing out on something, imho.

I personally believe that Iodide is "created" as needed by the body because I am now getting more breast pain (in certain spots) since adding the tri-salts.
I believe that I am now getting the needed four ingredients (water, salt, soda, and iodine) to ingest (plus sunshine) to create all the other things my body needs for true healing.
That, plus my need to STAY AWAY from too much junk! (I love corn chips and salsa, but I like to add sour cream and cheese - OUCH)
Time will tell, but am getting rid of more nasty smells. I am actually (and finally) at the point where my armpits can be soaking wet...and NOT stink.
To me, this is amazing, truly amazing, in and of itself!
