I've had a non contagious, allergy related eye irritation for a number of days. My doctor consulted with an ophthalmologist and prescribed an anti biotic. He said that allergic conjunctivitis is vulnerable to infection and this might help. It did....for a few days until the condition resurfaced.
Today I put two drops of Colloidal Silver into the irritated eye and feel a bit of relief after only an hour. I will see how this develops, but am wondering if anyone else here has had experience with this treatment.

MoreThis is a reply to # 901,873If it's really Colloidal Silver and not a commercial wannabe, the silver particles are suspended in the solution. When you first put the drops in, after shaking the bottle, - there is a momentary awareness of particles in the eye. That goes away in seconds. They put Colloidal Silver into the eyes of newborn babies...as well as into the eyes of cats and dogs....so I don't believe any burning sensation is dangerous.

This is a reply to # 901,862Coincidentally, these past 2-3 days, my eyes were red and irritated. I decided to try the Colloidal Silver again. It did smart, just as I mentioned before. But I noticed my contact lens solution smarted some too. I think the pain was caused by the irritation, not the liquid.
It took me two days before it was all gone, but it is now. I thank you for bringing this up, as I never would have tried the CS in my eyes again if you hadn't posted.- Re: I repent - you are right! Johny Apple Bomb

This is a reply to # 907,756You might want to be cautious when using Silver with contact lenses. The Silver particles might not be compatible with the contact lenses. Other wise it is excellent for eye infections. No stinging.
