When I've used it on my skin I just dab it on the 'spots' and let it dry before I go to bed, and then wash it off in the morning. The drying helps to pull the toxins out of the skin. I haven't used it in this way that much...don't need to since doing all the other clean-ups as my skin is pretty clear. Others here may have other suggestions for using it on a more regular basis.
As for using it internally, you usually have to reach at least 2-3 doses of the psyllium/bentonite a day before you start seeing any of the old gunk. Some people may need an intensive cleanse of 4-5 doses along with a fast or really clean diet for a week or two to get things moving. Also, my experience has been (as well as every reliable source I've read on the subject) that cleansing the colon of old mucoid plaque takes time...often several months. Many programs do an intensive cleanse of 7-10 days with daily colemas or colonics, and repeat this cleanse several times within the first year of cleansing to clear most of it out, and then maintenance cleanses once or twice a year. Other programs (such as Holistic Horizons which does not use bentonite) require a continual program of a few to several months. Keep in mind that the average adult has about 28 feet of intestines, and old mucoid plaque is layered and rather hardened. It takes time and a lot of cleansing to soften and dislodge it.
