After doing much research on diets for diabetes, high cholesterol and arthritis, here and at Mercolas and other sites, it seems the only foods I CAN eat is vegetables nuts, seeds and beans.
I can't eat fruit or juice due to the raising of blood sugar, or any grains, bread, pasta, grain cereal, rice, as this causes a rapid rise in blood sugar, yet oats LOWERS cholesterol levels...what do do.
I can't eat dairy, (milk, cheese, yogurt), not even meat because this increases bad Cholesterol, and I understand that eliminating dairy completely cures arthritis. How can man (woman) live on only vegetables, nuts, seeds and beans alone? I know I can't for very long.
I don't understand how I got High Cholesterol and Diabetes and
Arthritis in the same year, I just turned 45, I was very athletic before 5 years ago, and always in PERFECT shape. Then I got depressed and stopped exercising until recently. I know exercising helps with depression, but being depressed you just don't care. I have started working out again, and 5HTP has cured the depression!! No more drugs!
I have rarely eaten meat in many years, never pork in 30 years. I watched my fat intake, I never eat refined
Sugar or any
Sugar at all, (I have never had a sweet tooth, but a salt tooth, my mother growing up always said to me when I refuse a piece of cake or pie, "sweet is for the sweet" and she injects insulin) and my weight has never gone over 20 lbs from my optimial weight, except when the Dr. had me on anti-depressants, which I gained 30
pounds that year, YIKES! I detoxed off those and the lbs just fell of in a very short time.
Anyway am I stuck eating just vegetables, nuts, seeds and beans? I don't know what else I CAN eat that won't make all three conditions worse :(
