Hi,
This is my first time to hear about oil pulling tonight. I would like to try OP as soon as possible, but there is a big problem... Every morning (around 6:30am) I have to take a levothyroxine pill daily for my hypothyroidism on empty stomach, and I can't eat breakfast for at least 1 hour. Now, I've wondered whether I should take levothyroxine pill first and then do OP next. Or the other way around? I am concerned about any effects of combined levothyroxine and OP taken together or at different times on empty stomach. Please advise me on that. Getting up in the morning is NOT easy thing to do.

MoreThis is a reply to # 888,553I would OP before the medication. Or you could try to OP just before dinner.
I prefer the OP in the a.m. because it seems to increase the metabolism (better wake up than coffee).

This is a reply to # 888,553Definitely OP before taking your medication.
When I had my molar tooth pulled nearly 3 months ago, I found that taking antibiotics and OP'ing at the same time (before eating) upset my stomach and made me even more nauseous. I had to take my medication with food and then wait about 30-45 minutes before pulling.
Have you ever thought about taking Iodine ?
When you have the time, visit the Iodine Support Form. Do a search on Hypothyroidism. You may be iodine-deficient.
What type of oil are you using. Sunflower Oil and Sesame Seed Oil are the most recommended. I'm using sunflower, although I'm switching back to Coconut Oil.
I suggest trying CO when you've been OP'ing for at least a month (maybe two). I started out using olive oil and later switched to soybean (but started using sunflower recently).
