Guys and Dolls:
FINALLY!!! I am not saying this will work for all, but guess what---it's in the TOOTHPASTE! That's right--after having this HUGE annoyance of CONSISTENTLY peeling lips for years and years, I threw away the regular toothpaste and started using NATURAL toothpaste. Problem GONE in a day and a half. And I do mean completely gone. It has been three days and no returning symptoms of ANY kind. I am currently using Tom's Of Maine Natural Toothpaste (has anti-cavity fighters and is just like "regular" toothpaste, but for a few exceptions--exceptions that have CURED my problem, if you want to refer to it as a "cure"--when it is in fact a personal health change) ---but you can really use whatever toothpaste is natural and does NOT use
food coloring or dyes. I truly believe those two were the elements that were doing the damage. After all, coloring and dyes can be caustic and in this case, I do believe it was one or more of these elements that caused my mouth to feel constantly dry, and my lips to dry and peel off in small parts or sheets. Almost every known main product out there uses these two things--with the EXCEPTION of natural toothpastes and baking sodas). Now many natural toothpastes contain "sodium lauryl sulfate", which creates the froth necessary to activate the toothpaste and get it going in your mouth, and this agent has been known to cause canker sores in some people (not in me though), but Tom's Of Maine also has this in it, and I have had no problems. Therefore, I believe many of you have lips which are reacting to the coloring and dyes found in most over the counter toothpastes in stores, and NOT the sodium lauryl sulfate or anything else. Tom's Of Maine can be found over the counter too in any CVS or Rite Aid or big chain that you all would go to. PLEASE DUMP your Crest, Colgate (although I have heard Colgate just bought out Tom's of Maine a while ago---Tom's still has 15% stock in it and Colgate has NOT changed the natural formula and the brand is STILL called Tom's), Aquafresh, and whatever else contains those aforementioned colorings and dyes and I bet you will see an immediate change. Trust me, I am no Tom's of Maine rep. I do not endorse products in any way---only want to let you all know to CHANGE yours to NATURAL products. You can use ANY NATURAL toothpaste you want, or even baking soda. Just make sure it does not use any of those caustic elements which I believe had been attacking my, and maybe YOUR, lips for years (again--the dyes and colorings). I was stupid not to think of this before. But a light dawned. And I do hope this works for you. Sometimes, you don't need a "CURE", but merely need to CHANGE what has become a habit---buying big brand name toothpastes---or using anything on your lips that contain those dyes/colorings--be it lipstick, lip care products, etc. Please let me know via this site if this toothpaste change works for you. So far, it has been AMAZING--no more peel, no more drying, no more annoyance! And like you good people, I HAD had this problem for years. For now....problem ELIMINATED!!!!
