At least I know what's causing my back pain. I really want the IUD taken out, but I don't see any other options for birth control. I have tried every pill, including the low dose, and went completely crazy on all of them. The patch I gained 26 pounds and couldn't even get out of bed I was so depressed. I have a sensitivity to condoms. Family planning is out of the question because I ovulate twice and am VERY fertile. So I either go without, get pregnant, or deal with the IUD!
Being a woman sucks sometimes!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
LOL! At least I knew before we started having kids that I ovulate twice.
I am number six of eleven children. Two of my sisters have six kids and one has five. Between them and my mom, they have gotten pregnant on every birth control method known to man. Now we know it's because we all ovulate twice.
That makes me feel better. Two of my sisters have the copper IUD and love it. I have researched it and the only side effect I could find was heavier bleeding and cramping when you first have it put in. I had that with the Mirena three times, once before my baby, six weeks after and another one after the second one came out. I think I could handle heavier bleeding and cramping one more time. I'm going to try getting the Mirena out and the copper IUD put in. Anyone have advice either way?
It just stinks to have to worry about all this. Sometimes I would rather just get pregnant again!
Tiff
I thought it just kept the sperm from passing through the uterus. That if by chance the egg does get fertilized, the IUD keeps it from implanting in the uteran wall and it passes with your period. Is that what you meant by early abortion?
