As I said before, this forum is a walk in park on a sunny day. The Iodine forum is like a mosh pit at a death metal concert.

Yeah, I know ... I sludged through MAYBE twelve posts over there in the storm before I decided I had had enough, and proceeded to throw my opinion into the wind.
When I came back from my sabbatical a few days ago, I immediately sought out y'all here in the OP section ... this is my shelter from those storms.
It's nice to be back.

The Iodine Forum...sigh. That is a crazy place, but so incredible in it's breadth of knowledge. Some of the more informed, long time supporters of Iodine out there on the web have called it the "brain trust". I know many of them have been watching it's growth with major enthusiam. I believe it needed to become what it is to blast a hole in the disinformation out there on Iodine supplementation. We women need it shoved down our throats for our own good. I'm a huge supporter now. I so do not want to die of breast cancer, and I'm positive I have a fighting chance now. But keeping up was like hanging onto a sail line let loose in the wind. I spent many a night walking away from the computer with a big old headache from trying to digest everything.
I have said this before, and I'll say it again. I'm so lucky to have found this website. Right place, right time.

Wow, Molly ... you literally just described how I STILL feel about the information over there.
The Iodine Forum intimidates the crap out of me ... for some reason I am scared of it ... not that I don't have an open mind about it.
It's just so overwhelming ... I really am having a hard time wrapping my mind around it.
I've read a whole lot on HOW to start, but I still am clueless. Wish I had someone here to SHOW me what to do step-by-step.
All of the members I have grown to love and trust here in the OP forum are now avid supporters of Iodine ... (you, trap, batty, grizzly bear, etc) ... so I know to trust y'all ... I'm just scared.
Don't know of any other way to explain it. Words fail me. :(

I would be happy not to moderate, too, if just a couple is enough for this forum and it seems like there are a lot of candidates now!
I have to say I would love to see Wombat over here moderating, too.
And there are a lot of people on the horizon -- S2, Cityman, etc. -- who could take over with moderating when they hit the 2-month mark...
