Apple sauce??
If you are still hungry on the 5th day,
I would venture a guess that you may have
to drink MORE lemonade. I know the low end
is 6 glasses and it seems that many gravitate
to using less rather than more. The range is
6-12 glasses. I routinely go 10 glasses and
never fail to feel sated by the lemonade.
I also would recommend NOT skimping on the
maple syrup.
When I do experience twangs of hunger or
my energy flags, I take a spoon of unsulphured
blackstap molasses by mouth. It can also be
used in a cup of hot water like a tea. It is
allowed by the book and is nutritionally
dense so is very satisfying.
What I have found too, is that by sticking to
the cleanse and not skimping, my metabolism
is fine and my body is not in starvation mode.
The real benefit of the cleanse is that AFTER
you have all the trash out and the body tidied
up again, that the great digestion and elimination
and better body function is what keeps you losing
weight post cleanse. I do not think that people
are really grokking that it is less about the
calories than about the benefits of the cleanse
which are these~~
To dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion
that have formed in any part of the body.
To cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system.
To purify the glands and cells throughout the entire body.
To eliminate all unusable waste and hardened material
in the joints and muscles.
To relieve pressures and irritation in the nerves,
arteries, and blood vessels.
To build a healthy bloodstream.
To keep youth and elasticity regardless of our years.
The first 3-5 days are generally the roughest due to
the body shutting down digestion and moving the remainder
of the stomach contents down and out. Often if the diet
has been particularly acidic, this can feel rather
uncomfortable. The good news is that now your cleanse
should be getting easier, although, the applesauce may
have upset the cart so to speak.
Especially if you are exercising, consider getting in
more lemonade since if you are taking in minimal calories
you may need to adjust your caloric spending to compensate.
Also, be sure to keep up your pure water intake to keep
everything flowing~~
