Hi every one! Nice to see there is still plenty of support here while moreless is taking time out!
Have had a few revelations while he has been away and offer up an apology for when he comes back. Have had to think for myself more since he went and have found this slightly empowering. Even though my brain is as foggy as the lime water I shouldn't have giving up trying to think for myself!
The second revelation is one for other hypoglycemics who find blood sugar control a real problem. I have found that constipation causes major inability to control glucose in my case. Where I thought I was reacting to meat or other foods I since found that this is intermittent - depending on how constipated I am! My poorly functioning liver has trouble completing other tasks when under the burden of waste build up.
I have read doctor's reports that say constipation cannot really harm you but I can categorically say that in my case it directly affects glucose control and therefore probably affects other people too.
I also found that when I forget to take regular probiotics I get stomach aches - this isn't rocket science I admit - I think I was slow on the uptake on this one.
Also that when supermarkets sell their finest veg ranges (the expensive ones in nice packets) they tend to be higher quality - I guess they are familiar with the whole brix thing as well and make as much moeny out of it as they can. Again this isn't rocket science but for some reason I just didn't get the whole shopping thing at first.
My other revelation is for goodness sake don't tell any one else about this diet because they only look at you like you are visiting from mars!
So, from one martian to all the others on the forum:-
Smile.....
