This particular rant has been posted on the
Iodine Support Forum and cross-posted on the Oil Pulling/Oil Swishing Forum.
You know, it's seemed like there have been (literally) dozens of people jumping on one protocol bandwagon or the other without doing any research of the R, RN, or
BSA posts pertaining to the protocol. The questions only start coming in AFTER a protocol has been attempted and the messages are usually negative with terms like, "disappointed," "scared," "danger," and others.
I would like to urge newbies to take responsibility for their health by taking responsibility for doing their own research, first, and THEN asking questions that weren't addressed during their research BEFORE beginning any protocol, no matter how benign the protocol might be (oil pulling, for example). By doing the work, asking the questions, and preparing for whatever protocol it is that we're interested in, we will force ourselves to be patient when looking for the benefits of NATURAL HEALTH.
And, for crying out loud, please remember: WE WERE ALL NEWBIES AT ONE TIME. Most of the long-timers learned through trial and error and post their experiences so that those of us who are new to this whole idea of taking control of our own health will be successful rather than a disappointment. We all came from the same starting place, folks - be patient, ask the questions, do the research, and THEN start the protocol or therapy.
Best wishes to everyone!
