Hi, well I am not familiar with the other dental materials. They maybe fine. If your dentist does do cerec, he should be familiar with how to place it, because it requires a lot of skill and training. It is indeed expensive!!! Probably about 3 times the expense of a composite. But it lasts and of course it will save you from going back in the long run, plus it is very good in cases of large deeper cavities. They also seem to say one saves more tooth structure also. Apparently it is not quite like the typical porcelains and is more flexible. expands and retracts with heat and cold etc, and does not apparently leach out its components either.

Certainly with many biologic dentsits I have spoken to via email, they claim this is probably the best you can get so far in dentistry, both mechanically but also biologically. Both mainstream and biologic dentists use this product, so it seems it's pleasing to both for various reasons. The mainstream dentist probably does not take into account the biocompatibility side of it as much, but they like it for the other properties. Whereas the biologic dentist obviously has it for both.

Yes you can get some slighty differing aspects of cerec. But I would say they are much the same. The most commonly used is Cerec 3 Vita Mark II. But again, I do not know enough about this stuff to be any kind of expert, you would need to get hold of the company themselves. You can look it up on line to find out more about cerec porcelain. It is certainly best to go to a dentist who is experienced with this product.
