My pansies keep dying

I've been buying pansies to plant in my container garden but they all die. They are in moderate sunlight. I don't over water them. Their leaves turn yellow, they wilt and die. The soil I use is Miracle Gro with a mixture of compost. Any suggestions?- Re: My pansies keep dying Grog

MoreThis is a reply to # 85,645But, it's time for pansies to die down here in the south. It's too hot for them. I plant mine in the fall and they last all winter.
Where do you live?

I live in sunny CA. My other flowers are doing well, I just can't seem to get the pansies going. I'm going to do a search on the internet to get more info.
