I just ordered some dropper bottles for when the big bottles of Lugol's arrive. I got some 2 oz. bottles. I asked if they had the lids with glass rods -- like the traditional Iodine bottles, and they did for the 1 oz. bottles, so I got some of those too.
I've been painting a mole and an odd skin patch with a swab, and feel too much Lugol's is being absorbed into the swab.
Not sure where everyone else gets their bottles, I ordered mine from here:

A nice gentleman answered the phone and took my order. He sneezed a few times and said that everyone in the office was sick. I told him he might need some iodine. :D

This is a reply to # 850,336A Q-tip will hold 4 to 6 drops of Iodine before it becomes saturated, much of it unusable and wasted.
Try this.
Pull the cotton off the end of a Q-tip leaving only a small number of strands of cotton left on the stick. Spin them around the stick and this will be enough to only hold one drop of Iodine.
I do this over a sink full of water to catch any drops that fall off the Q-tip.
Put on one drop, paint, put on another drop and paint some more.

This is a reply to # 850,336I have been painting using a straw. One for drinking a fruit juice! I dip it in the Iodine and take as much as I want by blocking the top end with a finger. I slowly release the Iodine in drops over the area I want to paint, and spread it with the side of the straw.

This is a reply to # 850,336I have an old bottle of Iodine that has a special "straw-like" applicator that seems to hold a very small amount of iodine. It does not drip because the straw is open only on one end but when it touches the skin a small amount comes out. I dumped the old Iodine out and replaced it with Lugols. It works great for treatment for small moles or hard to get to places. 48124
