I've been doing some lookin around into heavy metal toxicity and detox and there seem to be these foot patches that many people are selling, anyone tried any of these? any journals published articles on them? I can't seem to find much except stories of people putting them on and having them turn brown...

MoreThis is a reply to # 838,705yeh i have some, but im the same, i would like more proof/studies, but cant find any.
ive used them 3 or 4 times. i put them on overnight and when i took them off they were brown and had dried hard, but i wasnt convinced this was toxins.
maybe it was some reaction with moisture or sweat from the skin i thought, so i poured water on one of them and let it sit for a day or so. it did turn brown also, not as dark a brown as when it was on my foot and it didnt go hard.
ive actually forgot where i put them, have been meaning to try them again.

I did clay baths last year for mercury and got a lot of silver/black specks in the clay. Not sure why you would get brown if you have mercury, but I don't know how they work. You could always do a foot bath with clay if you aren't convinced by the pads. My sense of smell was 100% better after that first clay bath. It was amazing.
